Nickel Plating Bath Chemical Solution

Nickel plating bath chemical composition should be included of satin finished chemicals in order get a brighit surface after plating. Beside a nickel salt that usually use Nickel Sulfate, also contain of an alcohol soluble polyamide resin and polishing agent disolved in bath alltogether. The polyamide resin is a member selected from the group consisting of a copolymer of dimer acid and an aliphatic amine, a copolymerized nylon and a modified nylon. The electroplating bath preferably contains a cationic surface active agent selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic and/or aromatic quaternary ammonium salt and an aliphatic and/or aromatic fluorosulfonylamine quaternary ammonium salt. The use of the electroplating bath provides a means for obtaining a uniform satin-finish nickel plate surface on the material plated.

Chemicals plating solution of acidic nickel electroplating bath contain of a uniform satin finish metal plate surface on the material plate surface as below:
  1. Nickel 25 to 170 gm/lt
  2. Polyamide resin disolved in low molecularweight and alcohol have 1 to 3 carbon atom: 1 – 10,000 ppm
  3. Polishing agent: 0.1 to 40 gm/lt
Nickel is dissolved and forms a continuous aqueous phase solution and polyamide resin is dispersed in aqueous phase to form a stable emulsion.

Racking and Jigging

Racking and Jigging are part of the process on aluminum anodizing, some parameter on this process actually difficult to supervise, but for experience people can do this easily.

For anodize jigging you are limited to aluminum or titanium if you are going to use metal or a non-conductive. The areas where the rack and the part will touch will not be anodized. Racking, also called jigging, is one of the most important steps in the anodizing process.

The racking geometry can also affect to color uniformity within a load as can the choice of the voltage time of electric current. Proper jigging of difficult to do if the object is thick walled profiles.

Effective Rinsing

The following matter was presented at the 2015 Anodizing Aluminum. Data were collected on the rinse tanks in each of the two anodizing lines. The effective on rinsing is by check the rest of water after use in rinsing. The concentration of water flow under rinsing of object can be take the sample and we got the data if the object already clean. Time and water use is become the main factor on this process.

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivization process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the initial aluminum to the finished product. Iron or carbon steel metal exfoliates when oxidized should be under neutral solution or alkaline micro electrolytic conditions.

The anodized coating is hard, durable, will never peel, and, under normal condition. Anodizing uses simple water-based chemicals that can be treated easily. Do not use harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners because they may destroy the finished good.

Concentration of Free Alkali

Question from someone: Could someone please advise their method for titration of the anodizing bath? Free alkali become a tool meter to understand the running of cleaning process or in activation of anodizing surface. The aluminum results derived by calculation from free alkali versus used acid concentration. With regard to maximum concentrations: before beginning work for anodizing process the method should be fixed to analyses this condition.

Good cleaning of the aluminum before anodizing is essential to achieve an attractive finish. Cleaning is usually done in a non-etching alkaline solution. Concentration of alkaline and density, time, temperature, and concentration of the electrolyte during anodizing become parameter on success of anodizing process.

What is the difference between electropolishing and Passivization


The passivization process chemically removes these free irons and forms a passive oxide “film” layer which further improves corrosion resistance. This is one advantage of using citric acid vs. nitric acid for making the surface of aluminum being activated. Electropolishing of aluminum first is make the surface being active, while passivization is make the surface of aluminum is being passive and can't react anymore or in other practice called as anodized.

Electropolishing is an electrochemical process used to selectively remove unwanted material on the surface of aluminum before andoding being proceeded. Electropolishing stainless steel also deburrs and passivates the material while enhancing its surface.

Electroplating Process Anode

If you do an electroplating process, there are two electrode that immerse to the solution, and each of electrode is connect to electric current. For electroplating process use direct current. Beside chromium plating there are many other kind of electroplating like nickel plating etc.





Electroplating process is a process to coat some metal to other metal using electric current. The metal to coat should have better characteristic than base metal to be plated. Coating metal use such as chrome metal, nickel, copper, silver and gold. On the plating process we need electrode to flow the electric current. The metal that will coat to other metal must diluted into the chemicals. On this solution dilution of metal will coat to the Cathode, because cathode is charged with negative electric current and Anode will charge with positive current.

Metal on the solution will change into ion, metal ion have positive charge. Other compound that associate with metal will dilute with negative ion.

Menanam Pohon Pisang

Bagi yang suka berkebun ini perlu dipertimbangkan, dengan menanam pohon pisang, berarti kebon anda semakin bermanfaat baik bagi diri anda maupun bagi orang lain. Karena sekali menanam pohon pisang anda gak perlu nanam lagi, karena pohon pisang itu sebelum berbuah saja sudah beranak. Berbeda dengan berternak ayam (chicken farm) atau beternak puyuh, beranaknya pasti sesudah bertelor. Memang kalau dari sisi waktu beranaknya sebenarnya sama, yaitu 6 bulan. Sedangkan waktu berbuahnya berbeda. Karena kan ayam sudah berbuah (red: bertelor) dulu sebelum punya anak.





Selain buahnya pisang itu banyak manfaatnya, coba search di internet. Pisang itu dari mulai bonggolnya sampai dengan batang dan daunya bisa dimanfaatkan. Manfaat daun pisang sudah jelas bisa buat membungkus misal bungkus dalam membuat tempe atau sebagai lemek makanan coba sekali kali makan lesehan dengan amparan daun pisang. Batang pisang manfaatnya sangat banyak, kalau dulu sewaktu banyak yang nanggap wayang kulit atau wayang golek, para dalang ini menggunakan batang pohon pisang untuk menancapkan wayangnya. Dan batang pisang yang sekarang ini bahkan saya dengar bisa dimasak, di Amerika harganya bahkan mahal sekali di Supermarket. Bonggol pisang banyak dimanfaatkan dalam membuat campuran media menanam jamur merang. Jadi kalau mau semua dimanfaatkan bisa kekurangan pohon nantinya.

Jenis jenis pohon pisang tentunya sangat banyak, anda bisa pilih dari yang pohonnya pendek, atau pohonya bisa sampai 3 m tingginya dan buahya sangat mantap dan besar, seperti pisang merah. Coba seach di internet karena saya sudah menanam pohon pisang raja merah. Rasanya memang wow tapi perasaan dipasaran gak ada yang jual pisang raja merah ya.

Tanaman Kedelai

Kedelai atau disebut juga kacang kedelai termasuk tumbuhan polong yang banyak dibutuhkan di Indonesia untuk membuat tempe, membuat tahu, membuat susu kedelai dan membuat kecap. Dalam bahasa latinya adalah glycine max termasuk tumbuhan kacang-kacangan atau Legumes.  Kedelai sangat cocok untuk ditanam di Indonesia terutama di daerah tropis tapi juga sangat baik tumbuh di daerah subtropis seperti di Cina dan Jepang. Untuk di daerah Indonesia yang cocok adalah kedelai dengan spesies Glicine Max sedangkan untuk daerah subtropis adalah Glicine soja yang merupakan subspesies dari Glicine Max.

Pertumbuhan kedelai akan sangat dipengaruhi oleh keberadaan sinar matahari, jika kekurangan sinar matahari maka pertumbuhan batang kedelai akan lebih panjang dan berbuah lebih lama. Jadi jika matahari cukup maka pertumbuhan kedelai akan normal pendek dan cepat berbuah. Jadi penanaman kedelai akan sangat cocok jika ditanam di sawah sesudah musim panen dan menjelang musim kemarau, karena jika musim hujan tiba selain intensitas cahaya matahari jadi jarang, juga tanaman kedelai biasanya terendam air dan pasti tidak akan berbuah.

Produk makanan yang dibuat dengan bahan baku kedelai diantaranya adalah tahu, tempe, kecap, taosi dan tauco, susu kedelai, tepung kedelai, serta minyak kedelai yang biasanya sebagai bahan pembuat sabun kecantikan, dan berbagai makanan ringan yang menggunakan bahan baku kedelai.
